Senior Manager, Data Engineering & Governance

Insight Global is seeking a Senior Manager of Data Engineering & Data Governance to lead enterprise-wide data strategy and modernization initiatives. This individual will oversee data engineering, warehouse architecture, data governance programs, integrations, reporting, and analytics efforts across the organization.

The ideal candidate will have experience managing technical teams while driving enterprise data initiatives involving data warehouses, data lakes, integrations, reporting platforms, and governance frameworks. This person will work closely with business leaders and technology teams to establish best practices around data quality, compliance, accessibility, and enterprise reporting.

Responsibilities include:

• Leading enterprise data engineering and governance initiatives

• Managing data warehouse, data lake, and integration environments

• Establishing data governance standards, policies, and stewardship practices

• Supporting business intelligence, reporting, analytics, and dashboard development

• Overseeing compliance-related data initiatives and data quality programs

• Mentoring and developing a team of data professionals

• Collaborating with executive leadership on enterprise data strategy and roadmap planning

• 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Warehousing, Data Architecture, or Data Governance

• Leadership experience managing technical teams (Data Engineers, BI Developers, Analysts, Integration Developers, etc.)

• Experience building and supporting enterprise data warehouses and/or data lake environments

• Experience overseeing ETL/ELT processes, data integrations, and enterprise data platforms

• Strong SQL and database experience

• Experience driving data governance, data quality, data stewardship, and data standardization initiatives

• Experience partnering with business stakeholders to deliver reporting, analytics, and enterprise data solutions

• Experience supporting compliance and regulatory requirements (SOX, HIPAA, FERPA, or similar frameworks) * Azure, AWS, Snowflake, Oracle, Microsoft Fabric, or other cloud data platforms

• Experience supporting ERP, CRM, HCM, SIS, or LMS systems

• Power BI or other reporting/analytics tools

• Data governance certifications (CDMP, DAMA, etc.)

• Higher education, healthcare, or large enterprise experience
