Job description

FuturWork is supporting a major Belgian organisation in the legal and professional-services sector in strengthening its IT support team. We are looking for an experienced IT Support Technician to deliver high-quality support to end users, working alongside the IT support, Network, Windows, Facilities and Service Management teams to help build the workplace of the future.

The mission

You combine solid IT knowledge with a clear understanding of users’ priorities to deliver IT support services to high standards. Working in a hybrid setup based in Brussels (at least 4 days per week onsite), you will:

  • distribute, install and maintain end-user hardware, software and printing solutions; *

  • handle service requests and access-management requests, and support users facing software or hardware issues; *

  • accurately capture and log technical issues and requests from end users; *

  • analyse tickets and other metrics to detect recurring incidents; *

  • proactively suggest technical and technological improvements to enhance user experience and team efficiency.

What a typical week looks like

Hands-on support across Windows, Office 365 (Exchange Online), Company Portal (Intune) and Active Directory; ticket handling and knowledge management in an ITSM tool (e.g. Omnitracker); telephony support via Cisco Call Manager (CUCM / CUCCX); support of mobile devices and tablets (iOS, Android), printers (Canon + uniflow) and network topics (VLAN, Wifi) - all within an ITIL framework and a scaled-agile environment tailored to the teams.

Requirements

Do you have experience in iOS?, Do you have a Bachelor’s degree?, 1) Experience: at least 4 years in an IT Service Desk environment, with strong hands-on IT support skills and a genuine interest in IT tools; ideally a Bachelor in Computer Science, Engineering or IT, or an equivalent level acquired through experience. | 2) Hard skills: Windows operating systems, Office 365 (Exchange Online), Company Portal (Intune), Active Directory, network fundamentals (VLAN, Wifi), mobile devices and tablets (iOS, Android), printers (Canon + uniflow), telephony via Cisco Call Manager (CUCM / CUCCX), and ticketing / knowledge management in an ITSM tool (Omnitracker a plus), all within an ITIL framework. | 3) Languages: fluent in BOTH French and Dutch (mandatory), with a good command of IT-related English. | 4) Soft skills: strongly customer-oriented, a good listener able to document end-user needs, able to translate technical matters into end-user language, a team player who shares knowledge and best practices. Note: the role requires being onsite in Brussels at least 4 days per week.
