Description
We’re looking for a Hardware Design Manager to lead and grow our RTL development organisation to meet the needs of our rapidly growing global market.
The role combines technical leadership, organisational development, people management and delivery excellence. You’ll help shape our technology roadmap, drive the adoption of modern engineering methodologies and AI-assisted development tools, and build an environment where engineers can do their best work.
The Opportunity
- Lead and develop a growing RTL design organisation delivering advanced ASIC and FPGA technology.
- Build the engineering capability, processes and culture needed to support rapid growth.
- Drive adoption of AI-assisted development tools and modern engineering practices to improve productivity and delivery speed.
- Manage and develop teams across multiple locations.
- Work closely with architects, project managers and senior stakeholders to deliver ambitious product roadmaps.
- Take responsibility for the quality, performance and successful delivery of hardware products.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
What We’re Looking For
- A proven track record leading and growing digital hardware design teams.
- Strong experience in ASIC and/or FPGA development, including architecture RTL design, and verification.
- The ability to balance technical leadership, organisational development and project delivery.
- Experience recruiting, developing and retaining high-performing engineering teams.
- A strong understanding of hardware development methodologies, design flows and engineering best practice.
- A leader who enjoys developing people, improving organisations and enabling others to succeed.
Desirable Experience
- Communications, wireless infrastructure, 5G/6G, satellite communications or DSP-based products.
- Semiconductor IP development and licensing businesses.
- Introduction of AI-based engineering tools and development automation.
- Scaling engineering teams through periods of significant growth.

We pay competitive salaries which depend on skills and experience.
We offer a bonus scheme which pays up to 20% of salary annually, depending on performance. This is in addition to EMI share options, issued periodically. We offer a range of good quality company benefits including pension and private health insurance.
