Job description
The Leadership & Culture Change Manager will be accountable for overseeing the planning, coordination and delivery of the Leadership and Culture Programme.
The role will be responsible for ensuring that quality, time and budget targets are achieved, while effectively managing associated risks, dependencies and benefits realisation without compromising safety.
This includes developing and supporting the implementation of change management strategies and plans that maximise employee adoption, minimise resistance and enable effective and sustainable programme and project change outcomes within BAU operations.
The role will also involve managing external partners and suppliers to support the successful delivery of the Programme’s outcomes and benefits.
Key Responsibilities Planning
- Work with Programme workstream leads and business stakeholders to develop and maintain the Programme schedule.
- Identify dependencies across Programme workstreams, internal programmes and projects, and BAU activities.
- Identify and record risks and issues, ensuring appropriate management and mitigation strategies are in place.
- Undertake stakeholder identification and mapping, including internal and external interested parties.
- Develop and maintain a benefits realisation plan.
- Establish and maintain an effective Programme operating rhythm.
- Establish Programme governance committees as required, including the development of associated Terms of Reference.
Programme Coordination and Delivery
- Manage Programme workstreams in line with the agreed operating rhythm.
- Coordinate Programme status updates and delivery communications.
- Ensure Programme benefits are realised in line with the agreed benefits realisation plan.
- Record, track and manage Programme and workstream actions.
- Support the sourcing, procurement and implementation of technology solutions that form part of the agreed scope of the Leadership and Culture Programme.
Programme Change Management
- Develop and support appropriate change management strategies and plans, ensuring these are incorporated into the overall Programme schedule.
- Support the Programme Lead and Communications Lead in the development and delivery of wider Programme communications.
- Support employee adoption and engagement to help embed and sustain change.
Programme Governance
- Ensure timely Programme communications, reporting and governance.
- Identify and manage risks and issues, escalating where appropriate to minimise impact on delivery.
- Identify and manage dependencies across the Programme and BAU activities.
- Manage and report on financial budgets and cost control.
- Manage contracts, suppliers and external vendors in accordance with internal policies and guidelines.
- Manage Programme governance forums, including Steering Committees where required.
- Ensure appropriate project and quality assurance controls and gateway checks are undertaken to minimise risks to delivery, cost and quality.
Change Control
- Identify proposed changes to scope, budget or schedule and seek appropriate approval.
- Communicate and manage approved changes across the Programme.
- Ensure appropriate change control processes and governance are followed.
Reporting
- Develop and report individual workstream status updates.
- Develop and report the overall Programme status to Executive and Leadership teams.
- Support the Programme Lead in developing presentations and reporting materials for Executive and Leadership teams.
- Provide clear and accurate reporting on Programme progress, risks, issues, dependencies and benefits.
Leadership
- Demonstrate best practice in programme, project and change management.
- Guide and coach team members to support successful Programme delivery and wider organisational goals.
- Build collaborative relationships across cross-functional teams and stakeholder groups.
Key Outcomes
- Programme and workstreams delivered to agreed time, scope and budget, including the effective management of approved change controls.
- Agreed Programme benefits successfully realised.
- Successful transition of Programme outcomes into BAU operations with minimal business disruption.

Requirements
- Proven experience in large-scale programme or project management within energy, infrastructure, engineering or similarly complex environments.
- Strong experience across planning, scheduling, cost management, risk management, stakeholder coordination and business transformation.
- Experience delivering organisational, business process and technology change and implementation.
- Professional certifications or qualifications in programme, project or change management, such as MSP, PMP, PRINCE2 or Prosci.
- Strong communication, leadership and collaboration skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at different levels.
- Ability to produce clear, accurate documentation, presentations and Programme reports.
- Experience using project and programme management tools and software.
- Experience using data and analysis to support decision-making.
- Knowledge or experience of continuous improvement methodologies, such as Lean Six Sigma.
- Knowledge of sourcing and procurement processes.
- Experience in contract, supplier and external vendor management.
- Demonstrated success in developing and delivering change management strategies and implementation plans, including communications, stakeholder engagement, education, training, embedding and sustaining change.
- Demonstrated success in achieving agreed business benefits and outcomes through programme and project-based change management.
- Experience developing interventions to address complex change challenges within dynamic environments.
- Strong analytical, conceptual and innovative problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal communication, facilitation and organisational skills.
- Strong focus on meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborative approach with the ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships.
- Experience working directly with business stakeholders and management at all levels to implement and embed change.
- Advanced working knowledge of recognised change management approaches, principles, methodologies and tools, including Prosci or similar frameworks.
- Exposure to safety-critical or operational environments would be beneficial.
