TELECOM/NETWORK ENGINEER

We are seeking a Telecom/Network Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in enterprise routing and switching, telecom/data network architecture, and infrastructure deployment and a proven ability to design, implement, manage, and troubleshoot large-scale network environments., * Participate in technical direction, architecture design, and product selection for the enterprise telecom/data network under general supervision.

• Design, configure, deploy, manage, support, and troubleshoot network infrastructure including switching and routing.
• Exercise independent judgment and address complex technical issues under general direction.
• Provide input to short and long-term strategy and budget planning for the network and telecom domain.
• Plan and lead small projects, coordinating internal and external resources to meet customer and business needs.
• Communicate project status to stakeholders and project proponents with clear documentation.
• Assist with the deployment of telecom/network technologies across access and distribution layers.
• Oversee assigned tasks for project team members and provide input to evaluations when requested.
• Support implementations and troubleshooting efforts that may affect patient care and financial operations.
• Represent Telecommunications and Networks on committees as requested.

• Expert knowledge of telecom/network concepts and the 7-layer OSI model, with strong troubleshooting across Layers 1-3.
• Hands-on experience configuring and installing Cisco Catalyst switches (C9000 series) and routers (C8000 series).
• Experience deploying network equipment at the access and distribution layers.
• Knowledge of telecom/network management and monitoring tools.
• Basic understanding of desktop and server operating systems.
• Ability to work with minimal direction while collaborating effectively within a team-based engineering environment.
• Customer-focused communication with strong interpersonal skills across varied stakeholder levels.
• Good organizational and time management skills to manage concurrent projects.
• Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Education and experience meeting one of the pathways listed in the Education section.

Preferred Skills:

• MEC (Multi-Chassis EtherChannel) configuration experience.
• SD-WAN deployment or administration experience., * Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline and a minimum of two (2) years of professional technical work experience.
• Associate’s degree and a minimum of four (4) years of professional technical work experience.
• Six (6) or more years of professional technical work experience in lieu of a degree.
