Principal Software Engineer

Innovative Tech Solutions Inc is looking for a talented and driven Principal Software Engineer to join our growing team in Woodlawn, MD. Responsibilities: Lead the design and architecture of scalable, high-performance software systems and applications Drive full software development lifecycle (SDLC) from requirements gathering through deployment and maintenance Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior and mid-level engineers across the team Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to define technical requirements and deliver solutions Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure quality, security, and adherence to best practices Identify and resolve complex technical challenges, performance bottlenecks, and system vulnerabilities Evaluate and champion adoption of emerging technologies, frameworks, and engineering methodologies

8+ years of professional software engineering experience with a proven track record of delivering complex systems Deep expertise in one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, C++, or similar Strong background in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), microservices, and distributed systems Experience leading technical teams and driving architectural decisions at an enterprise level Proficiency with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and agile development methodologies Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field preferred
