Job description

An established independent school in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire is looking for an experienced IT Technician to join its technical support team.

The successful candidate will provide hands-on IT support throughout the school, ensuring staff and students can access the technology they need for teaching, administration and day-to-day operations.

You will troubleshoot hardware and software issues, assist with device management and support classroom technology.

Duties include:

Providing first-line technical support
Setting up computers and devices
Troubleshooting hardware and software
Supporting classroom technology
Managing user accounts
Installing updates and software
Maintaining IT equipment
Troubleshooting connectivity
Recording support requests
Assisting with IT projects

Requirements

The successful candidate should have strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach.

Previous experience within education would be advantageous.
