Java Developer

We are looking for an experienced Java Developer to join a 6-month contract supporting an AWS migration programme., Day-to-Day Responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

• Designing and writing high-quality Java code
• Reviewing code produced by other developers
• Developing and maintaining unit tests
• Monitoring services and application performance
• Working with Grafana dashboards
• Reviewing logs and investigating issues
• Supporting the migration of services from a single AWS account to a multi-account AWS structure
• Working collaboratively with the wider engineering team throughout the migration

The primary focus of the project will be migrating services from a single AWS account to a multi-account AWS environment. This is a hands-on development role, so we are looking for someone with strong Java coding skills who is comfortable writing, reviewing, testing and monitoring production-quality code., * Strong commercial Java development experience

• Strong hands-on coding ability
• Experience with Spring Boot
• Good knowledge of AWS services and cloud environments
• Experience writing and maintaining unit tests
• Experience reviewing code and working within established development standards
• Experience monitoring applications and investigating logs
• Experience working with Grafana dashboards
• Comfortable troubleshooting application and service issues
