Senior Mainframe Developer (ACI Money Transfer systems)

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Mainframe Developer (ACI Money Transfer systems) with experience in payment processing applications, Mainframe technologies, and ACI Money Transfer systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing business requirements, implementing system enhancements, supporting testing activities, and ensuring successful deployment of application changes

In this role, you will:

· Identify application changes and develop solutions aligned with business and technical requirements.

· Perform coding, unit testing, and quality validation of developed enhancements and fixes.

· Coordinate and support System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including defect analysis and resolution.

· Execute production deployments, validate post-release changes, and support rollout activities.

· Prepare and maintain technical documentation, deployment guides, and process documentation.

· Participate in Agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and status meetings.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues and ensure timely delivery of enhancements.

· 5+ years of experience in Mainframe application development.

· Strong hands-on experience with COBOL programming in Mainframe environments.

· Working knowledge of Unix/Linux operating systems and scripting fundamentals.

· Experience with ACI Money Transfer System (MTS) or similar payment processing platforms.

· Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), testing methodologies, and release management processes.

The annual salary for this position is between $ 60000 to $ 93500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
