Transportation Consultant- Transportation Management Systems

As a Transportation Consultant on our Manufacturing & Logistics team, you’ll blend deep domain expertise with hands-on product leadership to drive outcomes across complex logistics environments - working closely with the primary product team, stakeholders, and clients. What You’ll Do

• Lead Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) initiatives to improve speed, quality, and reliability across product development
• Own product design strategies aligned to business goals and customer needs in transportation & logistics
• Analyze market signals and customer feedback, translating insights into requirements, features, and tradeoffs
• Manage and prioritize the product backlog; translate strategy into actionable, sprintable user stories; maintain transparent roadmaps
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and business teams to embed transportation & logistics expertise into product decisions
• Define and oversee product availability testing, reliability standards, and test protocols in partnership with QA
• Facilitate workshops and training on product management and logistics concepts
• Establish compliance practices aligned to industry norms and client standards; partner with QA/UAT on test plans and sign-off
• Drive continuous improvement through metrics, instrumentation, and feedback loops
• Communicate progress, risks, and decisions to stakeholders

• 10+ years of product management experience, including backlog ownership and roadmap stewardship
• Strong transportation & logistics domain background (Transportation Planning, Execution, Warehousing, Distribution); Courier, Express & Parcel (CEP) experience preferred
• Demonstrated success working cross-functionally in hybrid work models
• Proven expertise in product availability/reliability testing - test strategy, protocols, pass/fail criteria, defect analytics
• Fluency with data analytics for product performance (KPIs, dashboards, cohort analysis)
• Track record of continuous improvement and measurable productivity gains

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with logistics subdomains: TMS, Warehousing & Distribution, CEP, Freight Forwarding, Supply Chain Planning, Inventory Management, Cold Chain, Customs & Compliance, TMS/WMS/EDI/API/IoT
• Prior consulting experience in Transportation & Logistics, with operational leadership stakeholder engagement
