Software Engineer / SC Cleared

You’ll be working as part of a highly technical team, contributing to the design, development and delivery of secure software solutions.

The role will involve:

• Developing robust, high-assurance software using C++
• Working across the full software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing and documentation
• Applying secure development principles throughout the development process
• Working with continuous integration, unit testing, mocking and other modern development practices
• Conducting peer reviews and contributing to knowledge sharing across the team
• Mentoring junior engineers and taking ownership of technical tasks
• Identifying security risks and potential vulnerabilities during design and implementation
• Working with emerging technologies and development tools where appropriate

• Strong commercial experience developing software with C++
• Good understanding of software engineering and computing principles
• Experience with development tools such as IDEs, debuggers and source control
• Understanding of unit testing, mocking, CI/CD and/or TDD
• Experience working with at least one additional language such as Python, Java, C#, JavaScript, Perl or PowerShell
• Experience working across multiple operating systems
• An understanding of secure or high-assurance software development
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Previous experience mentoring engineers and/or leading technical tasks
• Active SC Clearance
