IT Service and Security Lead

• Own IT service delivery across multiple sites, including incident, request and change management. Manage the outsourced service desk against SLAs, lead service reviews and challenge performance and costs.
• Line manage an IT Support Analyst and coordinate overseas site support, setting consistent standards across the group.
• Manage Microsoft 365, Intune, identity and access, endpoints and cloud applications, alongside site networks, connectivity and associated devices.
• Own the security risk register and improvement roadmap. Select and onboard a managed detection and response provider, integrate relevant log sources and oversee detection tuning, alert triage and provider performance.
• Lead vulnerability management, patching and remediation, and develop and test security incident response procedures, including escalation and out-of-hours arrangements across time zones.
• Oversee joiner, mover and leaver processes, access reviews, data classification, information protection and data loss prevention. Run security awareness training and phishing simulations.
• Own asset and licence records, refresh planning, infrastructure and security budgets, and backup and recovery arrangements, including recovery testing.
• Report monthly on service and security performance and provide infrastructure and security input into business projects.

• Experience managing IT service delivery across a multi-site business, including SLAs, escalations, reporting and outsourced service providers.
• Strong hands-on Microsoft 365 and Intune administration, including identity, conditional access and endpoint management.
• Practical security operations experience using SIEM or XDR platforms, triaging alerts and leading incident response through containment, remediation and post-incident review.
• Experience selecting, onboarding or managing a managed detection and response service, including log integration, detection tuning and provider accountability.
• Working knowledge of Cyber Essentials Plus, ISO 27001 or NIST CSF, including the evidence required by customers, insurers and auditors.
• Experience with vulnerability remediation, endpoint protection, access controls and security awareness.
• Sufficient networking knowledge to oversee switching, wireless and connectivity with specialist partners.
• Team leadership experience, strong prioritisation skills and the ability to explain technical decisions clearly to non-technical colleagues.

Experience in manufacturing or distribution, including warehouse or shop-floor support, would be advantageous. International support experience, ITIL or equivalent practical service management experience, relevant Microsoft certifications and Microsoft Purview implementation experience would also be beneficial.
