The role and your impact We are looking for a Senior Game Designer to join our team in Barcelona. Our project is extremely focused on gameplay systems, the perfection of features, and precise innovation within gameplay loops. In this role, you won’t just be a designer; you will be an architect of the player’s journey. You will bridge the gap between abstract concepts and tangible, immersive experiences, ensuring our core mechanics shine in every moment of the game. As a senior member of our small team, you will be a key decision-maker whose impact is visible every day. What you will do Innovate and Prototype: Experiment with cutting-edge design and engage in rapid prototyping alongside artists and engineers. Own the Loop: Design, iterate, and polish core gameplay systems and loops, embracing feedback and playtest data to reach perfection. Collaborative Leadership: Work closely with Level Design and Gameplay Programmers to ensure mechanics feel incredible in a real game environment. Systemic Consistency: Implement design solutions and spatial rules that work consistently across the entire game world. Maintain Vision: Execute our shared vision with meticulous attention to detail and an emphasis on quality. What we are looking for

Experience: Proven track record of shipping high quality games. Significant professional experience in game design. Technical Proficiency: Strong familiarity with Unreal Engine is preferred. Analytical Mindset: A metric-driven approach to difficulty curves, pacing, and player guidance. Communication: The ability to clearly articulate “why” a system works (or doesn’t) to stakeholders and colleagues. Adaptability: A “hacker” mindset-we value those who can deconstruct games and find creative ways to make things work.
