Network Security Administrator

On behalf of our client, a leading organization operating critical national technology infrastructure, we are looking for an experienced Senior Network Security Administrator to join their growing Infrastructure & Security team.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly experienced engineering team responsible for securing and maintaining one of the country’s most critical enterprise environments. The role combines hands-on engineering, infrastructure design, troubleshooting and the implementation of modern cybersecurity technologies across a large-scale network.

What you’ll be doing:

• Administer and enhance enterprise network security infrastructure across a large-scale environment
• Configure, manage and troubleshoot next-generation firewalls, web application firewalls and secure remote access technologies
• Participate in infrastructure migrations, technology upgrades and the implementation of new security solutions
• Design, implement and improve network security controls to ensure high availability, resilience and performance
• Manage Cisco networking infrastructure, including switching and routing technologies
• Work with enterprise security platforms including WAF, EDR, PAM, SASE, VPN, SIEM and email security solutions
• Investigate and troubleshoot complex network and security issues while supporting business-critical services
• Collaborate with senior engineers on architecture decisions, technology evaluations and continuous infrastructure improvements
• Produce technical documentation and contribute to security best practices across the organization
• Participate in a shared on-call rota (approximately one week per month) to support the availability of critical production infrastructureWhat we’re looking for

• 5+ years of experience in Network Security, Network Engineering or Cybersecurity Infrastructure roles
• Strong hands-on experience with enterprise firewall technologies such as Fortinet, Check Point, Cisco Firepower or Palo Alto
• Solid Cisco networking background covering switching, routing and enterprise network administration
• Experience with technologies such as WAF, VPN, SIEM, EDR, SASE, IPS, Proxy Servers, PAM or API Security
• Experience working within large enterprise or mission-critical environments
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Ability to contribute to both infrastructure design and technical implementation
• CCNP certification or equivalent networking expertise would be highly desirableWhat’s on offer:
