Design Engineer

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be involved in the full design lifecycle, working closely with production, procurement and other engineering functions to deliver high-quality engineering solutions., * Developing detailed 3D models and manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks

• Designing bespoke mechanical equipment and fabricated assemblies
• Producing detailed BOMs and engineering documentation
• Supporting projects from concept design through to production release
• Liaising with production teams to ensure designs are manufacturable and cost-effective
• Assisting with product improvements and continuous improvement initiatives
• Supporting prototype builds, testing and product development activities

• Strong experience using SolidWorks (Essential)
• HND, Degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering or Product Design Engineering
• Experience designing mechanical components, machinery or fabricated assemblies
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes including fabrication, machining and assembly
• Ability to produce accurate engineering drawings and BOMs
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
