Software Developer

Youll work across software development, Microsoft Power Platform, data and reporting, developing solutions that improve efficiency, streamline processes and support better business decision-making.

What will you be doing As Software Developer, youll be responsible for the design, development, maintenance and continuous improvement of digital applications, reporting and data platforms. Working closely with the Digital Development Manager and stakeholders across the business, youll turn requirements into scalable, secure and user-friendly technical solutions.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Designing, developing, testing and maintaining business applications, including solutions using Microsoft Power Apps, Power Automate and Dataverse
• Creating Power BI reports and dashboards, working with SQL Server, relational databases and data models to support effective business reporting
• Developing integrations between internal and third-party systems, including creating and consuming REST APIs
• Improving and modernising existing applications through development, refactoring, optimisation, testing and deployment
• Working closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into effective, user-friendly technical solutions
• Identifying opportunities to automate processes, improve existing systems and contribute to wider digital transformation initiatives

Were looking for someone with commercial software or application development experience who combines strong technical ability with a proactive and solutions-focused approach. Youll be comfortable working with stakeholders across the business and able to turn technical requirements into practical, user-friendly solutions.

• Commercial experience in software or application development
• Working knowledge of databases, SQL Server and data modelling
• Experience with Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse and Power BI, with the ability to develop reports and dashboards
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail
• Confident communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• A proactive and collaborative approach, with the ability to manage priorities and a genuine interest in continuous improvement

Knowledge or experience of C#/.NET would be beneficial, while exposure to HTML, Css, JavaScript, REST APIs, Azure, Azure DevOps, Git, CI/CD or Microsoft Fabric would also be advantageous.

• Circa £40,000 basic salary, dependent on experience + up to 10% annual bonus (OTE circa 44,000)
