Data Center Field Installations Technician

NTT is supporting a proof-of-concept program for Google AI data center builds and is seeking entry-level Data Center Field Technicians to join the team. This is a hands-on opportunity to build practical data center experience while working alongside experienced technicians.

What You’ll Do

• Assemble and prepare server racks, including rails, PDUs, cable management, and labeling
• Rack and stack servers, networking, and storage equipment
• Install and route structured cabling, including copper, fiber, coax, Cat5, and Cat6
• Connect A/B power feeds according to established procedures
• Install blanking panels and support airflow and cooling setup
• Assist with direct-to-chip liquid cooling connections under supervision
• Follow diagrams, checklists, and method-of-procedure documents
• Perform basic quality checks and report issues
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area

• At least 5-6 months of fiber or structured cabling experience
• Hands-on experience with Cat5/Cat6, coax, copper, and/or fiber cabling
• Basic rack-and-stack and data center knowledge
• Experience in a data center, central office, telecommunications, military, or technical environment is a plus
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety procedures
• Strong attention to detail, positive attitude, and willingness to learn
• Ability to lift equipment, work in rack spaces, and stand for extended periods
• Personal crimping tools are preferred
