Job Summary

The Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) is responsible for developing and implementing security protocols to safeguard information systems. This position focuses on monitoring system performance, conducting security audits, and providing expert guidance on best practices to ensure the integrity of information systems. Responsibilities

Job Duty 1 - Develop and implement security protocols for information systems to safeguard sensitive information and ensure compliance with institutional standards

Job Duty 2 - Monitor the performance of information systems by conducting regular security audits and assessments to identify potential weaknesses

Job Duty 3 - Provide expert guidance to faculty and staff on best practices for information systems security, ensuring they understand their role in maintaining security protocols

Job Duty 4 - Analyze security incidents related to information systems by investigating breaches and proposing corrective measures to prevent future occurrences

Job Duty 5 - Maintain accurate documentation of security procedures and incidents to ensure transparency and facilitate future audits and assessments

Job Duty 6 - Train staff on information systems security policies and procedures, fostering a culture of security awareness among all users

Job Duty 7 - Stay current on developments in information systems security by participating in professional development activities and reviewing relevant literature

Job Duty 8 - Provide detailed reports on information systems security status and incidents to senior management, highlighting areas for improvement and compliance

Job Duty 9 - Collaborate with Information Technology departments to integrate security measures into new information systems and ensure that existing systems meet security requirements

This position is located in Smyrna, GA Salary Job Grade T08 Salary range is dependent on candidates experiences and skills that ranges from $$120,278.00 - $188,256.00 Due to our research contracts with the U.S. federal government, candidates for this position must be U.S. Citizens. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in related discipline or equivalent, related experience

Required Experience 4+ years of relevant experience Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Educational Qualifications Master’s degree in related discipline or equivalent, related experience

Experience working with DCDC/DoDIN connected systems Experience supporting CORA compliance and audit preparation Experience developing CONOPS/SOPs mitigating risk for emerging technology Experience in documenting RMF security control implementation Possess Secret/TS/SCI clearance Have proficiency across several technical domains and experience with National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), Joint Special Access Program (SAP) Implementation Guide (JSIG), National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) 800, and Risk Management Framework (RMF) while working with DOW’s Components and other Government Agencies Thorough understanding of Department of Navy Special Access Programs, their requirements, and have experience working with Navy’s AOs and SCAs Excellent written and verbal communication skills at all levels of an organization Experience working with XACTA, ServiceNOW and other government provided network IAM Level III compliance with CISSP, Successful candidate must be able to pass a background check.
