Junior Capabilities & Insights Analyst - Electric Power & Natural Gas

Experteer Overview In this role, you will research and synthesize actionable insights for McKinsey’s Electric Power u**amp; Natural Gas team, addressing client questions with data-driven analysis.You will collect and analyze diverse data sources to inform strategic recommendations on electricity and energy transition topics.You’ll deliver concise insights through client-ready outputs while collaborating with senior consultants on high-impact projects.This is a growth-focused role in a global, multidisciplinary team that values curiosity, ethics, and practical problem-solving.You will join a culture that emphasizes apprenticeship, mentorship, and continuous development while contributing to transformative client, Compensaciones / Beneficios * Research and synthesize insights addressing complex client questions in power and natural gas * Collect, analyze, and triangulate data from primary and secondary sources * Assemble a robust fact base on technology, operations, and trends in electricity and energy transition * Advise consultants and clients on business operations, technology, and strategic/economic trends * Perform analyses such as benchmarking, trend identification, market sizing, and growth projections * Produce client-ready outputs (PowerPoint charts, memos, models, frameworks) under tight deadlines * Collaborate with senior knowledge professionals on large client projects and internal knowledge initiatives * Lead internal knowledge development and capability-building efforts and apply advanced analytics to large datasets * Mentor junior colleagues and, over time, direct client work and proprietary tool development * Contribute to cross-functional client impact through the Client Capabilities Network Responsabilidades * Master’s degree in business, engineering or economics with a very good academic record * Relevant internships and/or up to 3 years of experience in electric power and natural gas sectors * Strong understanding of electric power and natural gas trends and developments * Deep knowledge of utilities strategies, regulation, or segments such as power/gas retail, Tu**D, or generation markets * Strong problem-solving and conceptual abilities * Excellent business acumen and understanding of main business, economic and financial concepts * Capabilities in collecting, analyzing and synthesizing information and knowledge * Strong multitasking abilities * Service-oriented personality, intellectual curiosity and investigative mindset * Ability to work collaboratively in a team * Clear communication of complex ideas; excellent English and Spanish; knowledge of Portuguese, Italian or other languages is a plus Requisitos principales * competitive salary * comprehensive benefits package * global work environment * mentorship and learning programs
