- Provide technical support, oversight, and governance services for Mechanical Enterprise Risk Projects to ensure safe, high-quality, on-schedule, and cost-effective project execution.
- Review project documentation and identify opportunities to improve schedule performance, quality, resource utilization, and execution strategies.
- Evaluate project schedules, implementation plans, risk registers, work orders, testing plans, turnover strategies, budgets, and resource plans for accuracy and effectiveness.
- Identify and correct errors, deficiencies, and execution risks within project documentation and field work plans.
- Validate the quality of Work Order Tasks (WOTs) and ensure compliance with Columbia Generating Station work management processes.
- Review and improve testing, commissioning, acceptance, and validation plans for project activities and modifications.
- Identify opportunities for mock-ups and provide guidance to ensure effective testing and workforce readiness.
- Apply industry operating experience and lessons learned to project planning, execution, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Serve as the ASME Person-in-Charge (PIC) for Section XI Repair and Replacement activities when assigned.
- Maintain expert-level knowledge of applicable codes, standards, technologies, maintenance practices, and industry trends.
- Provide technical recommendations and candid feedback to Project Managers, Oversight Managers, and department leadership.
- Perform shop and field oversight to ensure work progresses in accordance with approved project strategies and plans.
- Serve as the designated person in charge during off-shift project execution activities, including oversight of large craft crews.
- Coordinate internal and vendor resources to resolve project challenges and remove execution roadblocks.
- Participate in project strategy, readiness, risk management, design review, and implementation meetings to support successful project outcomes.
- Support initiatives that improve project schedules, reduce project costs, minimize outage durations, and mitigate operational risks.

ACS Professional Staffing is looking for an employee to work on-site with our client. This Senior Implementation Manager will provide technical leadership, oversight, and strategic support for complex mechanical projects, driving safe, efficient, and cost-effective execution. The role is responsible for reviewing project plans, schedules, risk strategies, work packages, and testing programs while identifying opportunities to improve quality, reduce risk, and optimize performance. Qualified candidates will have extensive experience in commercial nuclear power plant operations and refueling outages, strong knowledge of ASME codes and project management tools, and a proven ability to lead project execution in a highly regulated environment. This full-time position is located in Richland, WA., * Advanced degree in a related field and 10 years of mechanical experience in a nuclear, steam-cycle, or regulated industrial environment;
- OR Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 12 years of mechanical experience in a nuclear, steam-cycle, or regulated industrial environment;
- OR Associate degree and 14 years of mechanical experience in a nuclear, steam-cycle, or regulated industrial environment;
- OR High School Diploma/GED and 16 years of mechanical experience in a nuclear, steam-cycle, or regulated industrial environment.
- Experience with production and operational processes at a commercial nuclear power plant.
- Experience supporting multiple refueling outages at a commercial nuclear power plant.
- Strong knowledge of Mechanical Enterprise Risk Project planning and execution practices.
- Experience reviewing and improving work packages, maintenance documentation, testing plans, and project implementation strategies.
- Working knowledge of ASME codes, Section XI repair and replacement requirements, and applicable nuclear industry regulations.
- Experience using Enterprise Management Software such as Asset Suite, SAP, or similar systems.
- Proficiency with logic-driven project schedules using Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project.
- Knowledge of maintenance, engineering, and work management processes in a nuclear utility environment.
- Understanding of human performance improvement tools, error reduction techniques, and cost-effective work execution methods.
- Familiarity with radiological work strategies, contamination controls, rigging, material handling, welding, and related field activities.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration abilities.
- Advanced computer proficiency, including project management and enterprise software applications.
- Demonstrated ability to provide technical leadership, field oversight, and strategic project support in a highly regulated environment.
