Mainframe Developer - BAU - (W2 position)

• Analyze the existing mainframe codebase, workflows, and dependencies.
• Support component-by-component migration to Java/Python and migration of VSAM data to relational databases, as applicable.
• Contribute to both BAU and modernization scrums. BAU work includes fund/client onboarding and process changes.
• Support POCs involving file access, concurrency, and relational database patterns.
• Provide U.S. time zone coverage, including late-day ET overlap and occasional issue triage.

• Strong hands-on experience with COBOL, JCL, CICS, and VSAM, covering both batch and online transaction processing.
• Prior experience executing mainframe-to-distributed modernization projects.
• Working knowledge of Java and Python.
• Relational database experience: Oracle preferred, with DB2 familiarity helpful.
• Familiarity with Control-M, IBM MQ/MQ Series, and tools referenced as EZTrieve/EXTRACT.
• Proficiency with AI coding assistants/agents is required, with examples discussed including Windsurf, GitHub Copilot, and CodeWhisperer.
