Hardware Design Engineer

• Increases profitability by driving design changes or substituting suppliers reducing overall BOM cost;
• Facilitate cross functional workshops to develop cost reduction ideas; (various team like Engg, Supplier ,Commodity, Purchasing)
• Drive design changes through engineering systems using established engineering processes (e.g. CPR, SRC, TRB, and CRB & TCCB).
• Lead technical discussions and cross-functional project meetings;
• Work with the Test and Validation group to plan and maintain timing to validate the cost-reduction ideas;
• Present cost reduction ideas to internal and external stakeholders.
• Support Design to Cost by generating design alternatives to achieve the product cost targets.
• Provide relevant reporting for cost decisions (status reports of ongoing activities, progress towards savings target implementation, and forward workshop planning).
• Knowledge on Hardware Design ,Alternate component selection ,Datasheet comparison .
• Knowledge on DRBFM,FMEA process ,WCA.
• Knowledge on Analog circuit, Mixed Signal, Microcontrollers, Microprocessor .
• Knowledge on PCB prototyping, Assembling and mechanical design.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Electronics & communication Engineering with general technical understanding of Electronic/Mechanical components is required;
• Min. 10+ years of previous design engineering experience within electronics and electronics related products (Power module, ECU design);
• Should have experience in ADAS /HPC products to run VAVE analysis
• Experience in working with Onsite customer support activity
• Previous cost reduction by design improvement experience is desired
• Flexible, open minded, self-motivated and with an ability to lead teams without direct authority, * Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering with general technical understanding of Electronic/Mechanical components is required;
• Should have knowledge about SAVE methodology (To run complete VAVE Process)
• Min. 10+ years of previous design engineering experience within electronics and electronics related products (Power module, ECU design, ADAS design);
• Previous cost reduction by design improvement experience is desired;
• Program management role or product management role.
• Lead technical discussions and cross-functional project meetings.
• Flexible, open minded, self-motivated and with an ability to lead VAVE project.

Good to have skills

• Experience in facilitating cross functional workshops to develop cost reduction ideas.
• Experience in negotiating cost delta for any engineering change.
