Job description

Join our dynamic IT support team as a Level 1 IT Support specialist, where your enthusiasm and technical expertise will drive exceptional user experiences. In this role, you’ll be the first point of contact for resolving a wide range of technical issues, ensuring smooth operations across our organization.   • Troubleshoot desktop support problems across Windows and macOS operating systems, including software troubleshooting and hardware diagnostics
  • Assist with network-related issues involving computer networking concepts such as LAN, VPN, DNS, TCP/IP, and firewall configurations
  • Support Active Directory management tasks like user account creation, password resets, and permission adjustments
  • Utilize tools like SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager), ServiceNow, Jira, and BMC Remedy to document incidents and track resolution progress
  • Collaborate with team members to escalate complex issues involving Microsoft Windows Server environments or Linux systems when necessary
  • Maintain detailed records of support requests and resolutions to ensure efficient follow-up and continuous improvement

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of computer networking principles including LAN, TCP/IP protocols, DNS, VPNs, and firewalls
  • Proficiency in desktop support for Windows (including Windows 10/11), macOS, and Linux operating systems
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite applications and troubleshooting related software issues
  • Familiarity with Active Directory management and basic server administration tasks on Microsoft Windows Server platforms
  • Knowledge of IT support tools such as SCCM, ServiceNow, Jira, and BMC Remedy for incident tracking and asset management
  • Ability to diagnose hardware problems related to computers and peripherals such as printers or monitors
  • Excellent communication skills with a customer service-oriented mindset to assist users effectively and professionally
  • Analysis skills to identify root causes of technical issues quickly and accurately
