- Help strengthen cyber resilience and wider IT security controls
- Review IT licences, contracts and expenditure to identify efficiencies and cost savings
- Support access controls and segregation of duties across finance and business systems
- Oversee VOIP/telephony systems and associated suppliers
- Conduct structured monthly IT health checks across company sites
- Provide clear reporting on IT risks, supplier performance and improvement opportunities to senior management, This is an opportunity to take genuine ownership of IT across a growing organisation while working directly with the CFO and senior leadership team.
Rather than being responsible for personally resolving every technical issue, you’ll ensure the organisation’s IT suppliers, systems, security controls and processes are performing as they should.
You’ll have the opportunity to influence:
- IT operations and service delivery
- Cyber security and resilience
- Supplier and MSP performance
- Microsoft 365 and access governance
- Technology costs and licensing
- IT controls and operational risk
- The future development of the organisation’s IT environment
Requirements
We’re looking for an experienced IT professional who combines a strong understanding of technology with commercial awareness, supplier management and IT governance.
You’ll ideally have:
- Previous experience as an IT Manager, IT Operations Manager, Group IT Manager or similar
- Experience managing an outsourced IT provider, MSP or third-party technology supplier
- Strong Microsoft 365 / Office 365 knowledge
- Experience with user access, permissions and identity/access governance
- A good understanding of cyber security, vulnerabilities and remediation
- Experience monitoring SLAs and supplier performance
- An understanding of finance systems and segregation of duties
- Commercial awareness around IT licensing, contracts and cost control
- The confidence to challenge external suppliers and internal stakeholders when required
- A structured and proactive approach to identifying and resolving recurring issues
- The ability to communicate technical risks and recommendations clearly to non-technical senior stakeholders
Experience working across a multi-site organisation would be particularly advantageous.
