Job description

Denbighshire County Council is seeking a Digital Innovation and Systems Specialist to support Working Denbighshire’s digital transformation and systems improvement work.

Working Denbighshire has undergone significant digital transformation over the last 12 months, including the implementation of a new CRM system. The service now requires dedicated ICT, systems and digital development support to improve system functionality, support reporting, develop dashboards, improve data extraction and support the implementation of new digital platforms.

The successful candidate will lead on CRM system development, implementation, optimisation and support, including ICONI CRM and future Welsh Government CRM implementation. The role will also support digital projects involving systems such as Body SWAP virtual reality learning technology and Arlo training management software.

This role requires strong ICT systems implementation, digital transformation, CRM, Power BI, data analysis, reporting, dashboard development, stakeholder engagement, UAT, business readiness, supplier management and process improvement experience.

  • Support the Working Denbighshire Employability Service
  • Lead implementation and development of CRM systems
  • Support optimisation and management of business systems
  • Lead ongoing development of ICONI CRM
  • Support new Welsh Government CRM implementation
  • Support integration of new systems with existing processes
  • Support staff adoption of new systems
  • Manage system enhancements and improvements
  • Undertake system testing and troubleshooting
  • Lead user acceptance testing
  • Support implementation planning
  • Lead business readiness activities
  • Develop reporting solutions
  • Improve dashboard and management information reporting
  • Work alongside the Performance and Business Manager

  • Research and evaluate new digital solutions
  • Support procurement of new systems and software
  • Support roll-out of new systems
  • Support digital platforms including Body SWAP and Arlo
  • Support projects from scoping to implementation
  • Provide specialist systems support to staff and managers
  • Deliver or support systems training
  • Promote effective use of digital tools
  • Act as key link between Working Denbighshire, ICT Services and software suppliers
  • Liaise with technical and operational stakeholders
  • Translate business needs into technical solutions
  • Support continuous improvement through digital innovation
  • Ensure systems support performance management and service delivery
  • Support GDPR, information governance and data management requirements

Requirements

Candidates must have experience leading ICT system implementation, digital transformation projects, requirement gathering and business process redesign.

Power BI is an essential requirement for this role.

Candidates must have experience developing reporting tools, dashboards, performance reports and data visualisation solutions.

The role requires strong CRM systems experience, ideally including implementation, optimisation, troubleshooting, user acceptance testing, staff training, system adoption and ongoing improvement.

Candidates must be able to work on site for the majority of the time. This is not a remote role.

Candidates without ICT systems implementation, CRM development, Power BI, dashboard development, reporting, data analysis, stakeholder engagement or digital transformation experience are unlikely to be considered., * HND in a computer-related discipline or graduate of a numerate subject

  • Do you have strong Power BI experience, including developing dashboards, reporting tools, data visualisations and performance reports?
  • Have you worked with CRM systems, including system development, optimisation, testing, troubleshooting, user acceptance testing or implementation planning?
  • Have you worked with software suppliers, ICT teams and operational stakeholders to translate business needs into effective technical solutions?
  • Can you work on site for the majority of the time at East Parade, Rhyl, and attend an on-site interview if shortlisted?
