Job description

This is a varied, hands-on role supporting both business and residential clients across a wide range of IT systems, networking, infrastructure, and support environments. No two days are ever the same!

We also welcome applications from those with a background in CCTV & Intruder Alarm Installation and Servicing.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Installing, terminating and testing data cabling including Cat6 and Fibre
  • Installing and servicing CCTV and Intruder Alarm systems
  • Installing and troubleshooting IP Networks and Wi-Fi Systems
  • Preparing and programming equipment prior to installation, including CCTV systems, intruder alarms, network switches, and associated hardware
  • Supporting phone systems and onsite IT infrastructure
  • Carrying out annual servicing, fault finding and repairs
  • Conducting onsite troubleshooting alongside in-house IT Technicians
  • Installing conduit, trunking and containment when required
  • Using hand and power tools safely and effectively
  • Carrying out PAT testing
  • Conducting site surveys and assisting with job planning
  • Visiting residential and business client sites daily
  • Working independently and as part of a team
  • Maintaining accurate customer documentation and timesheets

Requirements

Do you have a valid Driving License license?, Do you have experience in Network installation?, * Minimum 3 years experience installing, terminating and testing data cabling

  • Experience with CCTV and Intruder Alarm systems advantageous (training can be provided)
  • Qualifications in Network Infrastructure and/or Fibre Optic Installation advantageous
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Good customer service and communication skills
  • ECS Card advantageous
  • IPAF Certification advantageous
  • PC literate
  • Full clean UK driving licence essential
  • Ability to pass a DBS check
  • Physically fit and comfortable working at height and in confined spaces., * Network engineering: 3 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

  • Full UK Driving Licence (required)

Hours

Monday-Friday, flexibility required between 8am-6pm. 42 hours.

Important: Successful applicants will be required to report to our office in Louth, Lincolnshire each morning before travelling to client sites as part of the role. This is not a remote or work-from-home position.
