Job description

B.I.G. is seeking a detail-oriented Drafter/Designer to join our dynamic team. The Drafter/Designer will play a critical role in the design and development process. The Drafter/Designer will create precise technical drawings and plans, utilizing industry-standard software like SolidWorks and AutoCAD. This position will work closely with production, engineering, scheduling, and purchasing., * Create and revise detailed manufacturing drawings and BOM using CAD Software

  • Create and revise architectural elevations and floor plans for client approval
  • Maintain drawing standards, file organization, and version control
  • Collaborate with engineers and team members to clarify design requirements and resolve design issues
  • Review drawings for accuracy, completeness, and drafting standards
  • Must be able to multitask and handle several projects in a fast-paced environment, attention to detail is critical
  • Revise existing drawings based on feedback from the design team
  • Assist with design modifications throughout the project lifecycle

Requirements

  • 5 years of experience in CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, or similar
  • Strong understanding of international building codes, construction documentation, drafting standards, technical documentation, and revision control
  • Ability to manage multiple commercial plan submittals, reviews, and projects simultaneously with strong attention to detail
  • Strong experience with commercial plan review
  • High Competency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams
  • The ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment
  • Exceptional organizational skills, written and verbal communication skills
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Bluebeam Collaboration Software, * Do you have 5 years of experience in CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, or similar?
