Job description
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Access Control & Physical Security Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining physical security systems including alarm systems, CCTV surveillance, access control systems, and low-voltage electrical wiring. You will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of our clients’ facilities through technical expertise and exceptional customer service., * Install, configure, and troubleshoot access control systems, alarm systems, CCTV cameras, sensors, and related security hardware.
- Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings for system installation and maintenance.
- Perform low-voltage electrical wiring and cabling for security equipment in accordance with safety standards.
- Conduct site surveys to assess security needs and recommend appropriate system design solutions.
- Provide technical troubleshooting support for physical security systems, including system failures or malfunctions.
- Test and verify system performance using remote access software and other diagnostic tools.
- Collaborate with clients to deliver excellent customer service by explaining system functions and providing ongoing support.
- Familiar with UniFi Access
Requirements
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to security hardware installation and maintenance.
- Proven experience in field service roles involving electrical security system installation and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency with computer hardware, networking, and surveillance equipment such as CCTV cameras.
- Ability to interpret schematics, technical drawings, and blueprints for low-voltage electrical systems.
- Knowledge of alarm & access control systems integration with door security systems.
- Familiarity with fire alarm systems, sensors, IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems), and remote access software.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, cable crimpers, wire strippers, and other installation equipment.
- Electrical experience with low-voltage wiring standards and electrical blueprint reading.
- Excellent customer service skills to support client needs effectively.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex physical security issues involving cabling, sensors, CCTV surveillance, and network connectivity.
