Job description

Stolle is the world’s leading supplier of two piece can and end-making machinery for the global can-making industry. Our high-speed machines can be found in can plants worldwide., * Work within a dynamic design office. Managing own tasks and deadlines while reporting to the Engineering Manager.

  • Liaise with all Stolle departments (sales, install, commissioning etc) to identify the project requirements.
  • Investigate and undertake analysis of existing pipework designs to improve future projects.
  • Use both 3D and 2D CAD systems to design and visualise pipe routes and integration.
  • Identify new systems and processes to drive quality, efficiency and save costs.
  • Communicate effectively with the clients, colleagues and contractors.
  • Plan effectively to ensure designs and schematics are delivered on time, to standard and to budget.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Microsoft Office?, Do you have a Certificate of higher education?, Based in Carlisle, Stolle Europe specialises in can line integration, machine manufacture and conveying systems. We are looking to recruit a Pipework Engineer to join our growing Systems Design team. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with an engineering qualification who is keen to develop their skills in a specialist engineering environment., * Minimum of Higher National Certificate (HNC) in engineering or equivalent.

  • Experienced using Microsoft office.
  • An eye for detail and methodical work processes.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Time management, organisation, and ability to work to deadlines.
  • Office based role, but able to travel abroad if required (2-3 times a year).

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of Inventor or other 3D CAD software, but specific training will be offered.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD or other 2D CAD software, but specific training will be offered.
  • Knowledge of volume and flow calculations (training will be offered).
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes.
  • Knowledge of creating technical drawings to ISO standards.
