Job description

IT Support Engineer - Windows Server, Windows Desktop, Office 365, VMware, Azure AD, Entra, Intune, Jira, Cisco, SCCM, Web Proxy, MFA - Hybrid (Warrington) - £30-40k + bonus + bens, My client has a specific need for an experienced IT Support Engineer to play a key role in administering, supporting and maintaining the infrastructure systems in data centres, office locations and the Cloud (Azure). This is an infrastructure support role requiring a broad knowledge of data centre technologies and Windows services. Windows Server, Windows desktop, Cloud and Office 365 expertise are required.

IT Support Engineer Role and Responsibilities:

Day-to-day systems management and administration including system checks, security checks, incident and service request tickets
Provide field support to specialist control system workstations including break/ fix, deployment, moves, upgrades and patching
Provide proactive and reactive support across Office 365, Windows Server, VMWare, Azure AD, Entra, Intune and Cison network technologies
Assist with patching where needed and support networking, storage and backup facilities
Work collaboratively with Network and Applications teams as well as 3rd party providers and business/ service users

Requirements

Significant track record in providing IT infrastructure support to both on-prem and Cloud environments

Office 365 administration skills including the ability to configure and troubleshoot (including Azure AD, Entra, Intune and Cisco networking)
Strong knowledge of Windows Server admin and support and in-depth Windows desktop skills
Solid Virtualisation experience, ideally with a VMWare accreditation or similar
A working knowledge of Azure, AD Domain Services and Group Policy

The role would suit an IT Support Engineer with broad-ranging experience across support and implementation. Experience in any of SCCM, Web Proxy Services, Multi-Gateway Services, Multi-Factor Authentication or Unix/ Linux would be useful. This is a collaborative, open environment so the ability to communicate effectively will be beneficial. There will be travel to different locations as part of this role.
