Join our growing Security Operations Centre as a Security Operations Centre Operative and play a vital role in protecting retail environments through intelligence-led security operations. This opportunity is well suited to someone with experience in CCTV monitoring, retail loss prevention, or security operations who can analyse incidents, identify patterns, and turn information into clear, actionable intelligence.

Working at the forefront of technology-led loss prevention, you will use CCTV, AI-driven alerts, and data-led reporting to help reduce retail theft, support store teams, and build strong evidence that supports effective operational decision-making.

In this role, you will be a key link between data, stores, and law enforcement, combining live surveillance, analytical reporting, and intelligence development to track prolific offenders, identify high-risk locations, and support informed action. This role is offered as a 6-month fixed-term contract to support a high-priority pilot programme, with the potential to transition into a permanent position based on performance and business needs.

About the role

CCTV monitoring and intelligence gathering

• Monitor live and recorded CCTV footage across multiple retail locations.

· Analyse alerts generated by AI-enabled camera systems and in-store sensors.

• Identify suspicious behaviour, theft patterns, and repeat offenders.

· Review and validate daily theft reports submitted by store teams.

Reporting and analysis

· Produce clear, accurate daily intelligence reports on theft incidents and other notable activity.

· Create heat maps to identify high-traffic and high-risk areas across store locations.

• Compile weekly profiling reports on shoplifting incidents and behaviours.
• Deliver monthly reports highlighting theft trends, targeted brands, and emerging risks.

Offender management and evidence building

· Develop and maintain robust intelligence profiles on prolific and serial offenders.

· Collate and organise evidence packs to support arrests and prosecutions.

· Issue store bulletins on known offenders and relevant external intelligence (for example, activity reported by other brands).

· Manage reported customer theft cases, including liaising with store teams, gathering evidence, and supporting account closures or banning orders.

Working with stores and key stakeholders

• Act as the primary point of contact for stores reporting major theft incidents.
• Liaise with store teams to obtain intelligence, evidence, and incident details.

· Visit stores when needed to deliver briefings, support evidence gathering, and provide tailored risk reports.

Supporting operational growth

· Support the expansion of the Security Operations Centre by assisting with the onboarding of new clients.

• Help develop and refine processes, reporting standards, and best practices., This role sits within a growing Security Operations Centre function and offers strong long-term development potential. For high performers, it provides opportunities to:

Location and travel

· Primarily based at our Security Operations Centre.

• Occasional travel to store locations will be required for briefings and evidence support.

Pay: £26,000.00-£34,000.00 per year
