Telecommunications Technician

• Install telecommunications network cables, including fiber optic splicing and Ethernet wiring, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with industry standards
• Set up and configure Comcast routers, switches, and other networking equipment to establish robust communication networks
• Conduct field service visits for residential and commercial clients to troubleshoot issues, perform repairs, and upgrade existing systems
• Use hand tools such as wire crimpers, wire strippers, cable cutters, and power tools to complete installations accurately and efficiently
• Operate company vehicles safely while transporting equipment and personnel to various job sites
• Test telecommunications equipment using voltmeters, ohmmeters, equipment testers, and other diagnostic tools to verify proper operation
• Perform outdoor work requiring ladder use, cable routing in challenging environments, and adherence to safety protocols

• Proven experience working as a telecommunications infrastructure technician or in a related field such as electrical work or computer networking
• Strong knowledge of network installation procedures including fiber splicing, cabling techniques, and low voltage wiring
• Familiarity with Comcast routers, Ethernet configurations, telephony systems, satellite dish installation, and telecommunication standards
• Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, wire strippers, crimpers, voltmeters, ohmmeters, and other testing equipment effectively
• Experience with outdoor installation environments involving ladder use and electrical safety practices
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record for safe operation of company vehicles
