Systems Operations Director (SYST)

• Developing and delivering the operational strategy for the Systems Division in line with wider business objectives, with a clear focus on scalable service delivery, process maturity and client value.
• Working closely with the Executive Team to support sustainable growth, profitability and market expansion.
• Identifying opportunities for innovation, operational excellence, digital enablement and continuous improvement.
• Contributing to business planning and supporting long-term strategic decision making.

Operational Excellence

• Providing leadership across installation, maintenance, service, project delivery and integrated security support functions.
• Ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on time and within budget.
• Driving consistency and excellence across engineering, project management and client delivery teams.
• Establishing and monitoring operational KPIs to ensure high levels of performance and accountability.
• Enhancing operational systems, processes, workflows and best practices to ensure the division can scale consistently while maintaining service quality.
• Using technology, automation and data-led reporting to improve visibility, accountability, responsiveness and client outcomes.

Commercial Performance

• Holding responsibility for divisional profit and loss performance.
• Managing budgets, forecasting and financial planning to achieve growth and profitability targets.

· Driving operational efficiencies through standardised systems and processes whilst maintaining exceptional service standards.

• Working alongside Business Development teams to support tenders, proposals and client presentations.
• Identifying opportunities to increase revenue through existing client relationships and new market opportunities.

Client Relationship Management

• Building and maintaining strong relationships with key clients, stakeholders and strategic partners by understanding their operational priorities and designing solutions that improve resilience, efficiency and service quality.
• Acting as an executive escalation point for major client issues and service delivery matters.
• Ensuring contractual obligations, service level agreements and client expectations are consistently achieved.
• Supporting client retention and long-term partnership growth through consistent delivery, transparent reporting and value-adding innovation.
• Working with clients to create integrated security solutions that bring together electronic systems, physical security measures and personnel-based services into a cohesive operating model.

Leadership & People Development

• Leading, mentoring and developing senior managers, project managers and engineering teams.
• Creating a high-performance culture focused on accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Supporting succession planning and leadership development across the division.
• Driving employee engagement, wellbeing and professional development initiatives.

Compliance, Quality & Risk

• Ensuring compliance with all relevant industry standards including SSAIB, BAFE, Health & Safety and associated regulatory frameworks.
• Championing quality assurance, risk management and operational governance.
• Ensuring robust systems, controls, reporting mechanisms and governance frameworks are maintained across the division.

Industry Leadership

• Maintaining awareness of emerging technologies, market trends and legislative developments.
• Building relationships with manufacturers, suppliers and industry partners.

Do you have a valid Driving License license?, Do you have experience in Scalability?, * Proven experience operating at a senior leadership level in a service-led, operationally complex business where quality, consistency and client outcomes are critical.

• Experience using technology, systems and process improvement to enhance service delivery, increase transparency and support scalable growth.
• Demonstrable experience leading multi-disciplinary operational, technical, project delivery or client service teams.
• Strong commercial acumen with proven responsibility for budgets, forecasting and profit and loss performance.
• Experience managing large-scale installation, maintenance and service operations.
• Strong client relationship management skills with the ability to engage, influence and build confidence at senior level.
• Proven ability to develop and implement operational strategies that drive business growth.
• Experience leading organisational change and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong understanding of compliance, quality assurance, risk management and governance within a regulated or service-critical environment.
• Fire and security sector experience would be advantageous, but it is not essential; more important is the ability to lead service excellence through scalable systems, disciplined processes and technology-enabled operations.

In Addition, It Is Expected That Applicants Will Have:

• Significant experience in a senior operational leadership role within a service-led, technical, facilities, security, infrastructure, engineering or similarly complex environment.
• Significant experience in a senior operational leadership role.
• Experience designing, improving or leading scalable systems, processes and operating models across multiple teams, locations or client portfolios.
• Experience managing operational budgets and delivering commercial targets while maintaining high standards of service quality.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, operational reporting systems and digital platforms that support performance management, workflow control and client visibility.
