Job description

We are currently looking for a IT Helpdesk Officer to join our Information Technology team on a full time permanent contract.

The successful candidate will join a small but essential team that provides support to the Southbank centre IT Users covering all areas of IT. The Helpdesk is an essential part of the Operations team., * Experience of working well in a team on an IT ServiceDesk or Desktop support team.

  • The ability to successfully manage their own IT tickets in their queue with minimal supervision.
  • To be responsible on keeping all users up to date with any issues that they are dealing with and to collaborate well with their team and others alike.
  • Assist with the maintenance, support, administration and upgrading of existing IT business systems as requested and approved by the IT Helpdesk Manager.
  • Help maintain the asset register of SC’s IT assets throughout their life cycle from acquisition to disposal.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Organizational skills?, * Good organisational skills with the ability to work calmly under pressure, multitask and prioritise.

  • Good written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical information clearly.
  • Good analytical and troubleshooting skills showcasing their ability to support real time fixes.
  • Flexible and helpful attitude. In particular, the ability to empathise with IT Helpdesk customers and respond sensitively to their problems, requests, and complaints.
  • Great IT skills, including knowledge of current desktop operating systems and Microsoft / Google productivity tools.
