Job description

· Answer incoming helpdesk calls and emails in a professional and timely manner.

· Log all customer issues and service requests accurately as tickets.

· Investigate and resolve logged issues autonomously where possible.

· Escalate tickets to senior engineers where issues fall outside your skill level or require further support.

· Provide telephone and remote support to resolve customer problems and service requests.

· Visit customer sites to provide IT support, including installing PCs, laptops, software and upgrades.

· Troubleshoot hardware, software, network and user-related issues across customer environments.

· Support new projects, including building systems and preparing infrastructure for remote and on-site deployments.

· Maintain a high standard of customer service and keep customers updated on ticket progress.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Windows?, We are looking for a capable and customer-focused 1st Line MSP Engineer to join our office-based support team. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for customer support requests, handling helpdesk calls and emails, logging tickets, troubleshooting technical issues and escalating where required. This role is suited to someone with previous experience working within a Managed Service Provider environment and a practical understanding of supporting multiple customer networks and systems., · Previous experience working within an MSP environment is essential.

· Service Desk & Use of Service desk ticketing systems such as HALO

· Previous experience of using RMM Tools such as NINJA & N-ABLE

· Proven experience installing, configuring and supporting Windows 10/11.

· Experience supporting PCs, laptops and tablets in a Windows Domain Azure joined environment.

· Experience supporting and administering Windows Server Active Directory and Group Policies.

· Experience supporting Microsoft Office 2010, 2013, 2016 and Microsoft Office 365.

· Experience supporting and administering Office 365 and Outlook users.

· Ability to install workstation and laptop operating systems.

· Experience installing general PC and network-based software, including Microsoft Office, Sage, Adobe and similar applications.

· Experience with Android, iOS and MDM technologies.

· Experience installing cabling, including Cat5e, patching and terminating.

· Ability to use remote support tools such as RDP, TeamViewer and LogMeIn.

· Understanding of IP networks and the ability to troubleshoot network problems.

· Experience understanding the configuration of routers and firewalls.

· Ability to configure ADSL routers, Wi-Fi access points, NAS boxes, network printers and scanners.

· Reliable, punctual and comfortable working full time from the office.

Working Hours and Location

This is a full-time, office-based role at DP Systems in Loughton, Essex. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 6:00pm. Please note that hybrid working is not available for this position.

Pay: £25,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
