Job description

  • Manage the technical delivery lifecycle for one or more project workstreams
  • Create and maintain delivery plans and dependencies in collaboration with project managers, architects, engineering leads, and partner leads
  • Identify and mitigate delivery risks, manage scope and quality, and ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope
  • Work with engineering leads and partners to ensure solutions align with our standards and best practices
  • Remove delivery blockers and support the team with problem-solving and prioritisation
  • Act as the primary delivery point of contact for business stakeholders, project managers, and partners
  • Translate business objectives into clear technical deliverables and timelines
  • Communicate delivery progress, risks, and dependencies transparently
  • Ensure alignment between business, engineering, and partner teams
  • Work with QA engineers and business analysts to refine acceptance criteria and align test coverage with business expectations
  • Support validation of data flows and integrations that are critical to project success

Requirements

  • Technically hands-on, with an understanding of how to test and set up a test framework
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to liaise with up to 20 third parties and three external contractors, including handling challenging conversations
  • Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile delivery methodologies
  • Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams
  • Technical literacy across platforms and architecture concepts, including Azure, APIs, Dynamics CRM, and CI/CD
  • Familiarity with test automation frameworks and an understanding of QA metrics, test strategies, and governance
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to balance technical depth with delivery pragmatism

Benefits & conditions

Salary: £? - ? per year, We are recruiting a Lead Quality Assurance Automation Engineer to work as part of a team with a well-known Housing Association from its Kings Cross office. This is an initial six-month contract, starting as soon as possible, with the possibility of extension. The hours are Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. The role offers hybrid working, with two days in the office on Tuesdays and Thursdays and three days working from home. Pay is up to £550 outside IR35 for the right person.
