Job description

Configure, install, maintain, and upgrade network infrastructure
Troubleshoot network failures, outages, and performance issues
Support and optimize statewide enterprise network environments
Perform network analysis, design, and implementation
Maintain accurate network diagrams and documentation
Monitor network performance and ensure uptime and reliability
Implement security best practices and compliance standards
Provide advanced troubleshooting for routing, switching, and VPN issues
Support voice-integrated network environments
Collaborate across teams and provide knowledge transfer

Requirements

Candidates must be local to SC, NC, or GA OR willing to relocate within 40 miles of Blythewood, SC
Valid South Carolina Driver’s License required
Willingness to travel to SCDMV field offices (state vehicle provided)
Must be comfortable with fully onsite work
Two rounds of interviews (onsite presence may be required), Required Skills (Must Have)
10+ years of experience with Cisco Firewalls
10+ years of experience with Cisco Routers
10+ years of experience with Cisco Switches
10+ years of experience with Cisco VPN
10+ years of experience with Cisco Network Administration
5+ years of experience with Palo Alto Firewalls
5+ years of experience with Palo Alto XDR

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)

10+ years of experience with network monitoring and tracing tools
Strong experience in core network architecture design
Advanced expertise in routing, switching, and troubleshooting
4+ years of experience with wireless networking
3+ years of experience with hybrid cloud infrastructure

Certifications (Preferred)

CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate)
CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional)
