Job description
- Lead and mentor a team of mechanical design engineers.
- Manage workload planning and resource allocation across multiple projects.
- Deliver complex machine design and industrial automation projects from concept to completion.
- Develop engineering calculations, technical documentation, and design standards.
- Participate in design reviews and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Prepare project proposals, schedules, budgets, and cost estimates.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Support business development activities and identify new project opportunities.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering function.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Minimum 7 years of machine design experience within industrial automation.
- Experience working with robotics, servo systems, custom machinery, or automated equipment.
- At least 5 years of experience using SolidWorks.
- Strong understanding of machine design principles and engineering best practices.
- Proven project management and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Previous experience leading, mentoring, or developing engineering teams.
- Experience with FEA, CFD, ISO 9001, Lean Manufacturing, or Six Sigma methodologies is advantageous.
- Professional Engineer registration or eligibility is beneficial.
