Data Center Technician

Robert Half is currently hiring Data Center Technicians to support several of our clients with growing data center operations. We are looking for hands-on technical professionals who are comfortable working in fast-paced, mission-critical environments and supporting server, hardware, cabling, and infrastructure needs.

Responsibilities

• Install, rack, stack, and decommission servers and related hardware
• Perform hardware swaps, break/fix support, and component replacement
• Troubleshoot servers, network devices, and data center equipment
• Assist with structured cabling, patching, labeling, and cable management
• Perform basic connectivity and hardware testing
• Follow documented procedures, change controls, and safety standards
• Maintain accurate inventory and service documentation
• Escalate hardware or infrastructure issues as needed

• Previous data center, hardware, desktop, field service, or infrastructure experience
• Experience working with servers, racks, network equipment, or cabling
• Basic understanding of TCP/IP, networking, and server hardware
• Ability to lift and move equipment in a data center environment
• Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a technical team

Experience with Dell, HPE, Cisco, Arista, Linux, ticketing systems, or structured cabling is a plus.
