- Sustain and enhance large-scale systems within a collaborative team environment.
- Design, implement, and optimize SQL database solutions for enterprise applications.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve system issues to ensure high reliability and performance.
- Utilize Linux for deployment, administration, and scripting within application workflows.
- Employ Atlassian tools, especially JIRA, for project tracking and Agile process management.
- Participate actively in Agile ceremonies to deliver high-quality solutions on schedule.
- Support the transition of legacy mainframe systems to modern Java/SQL platforms.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement and meet evolving business needs.
Requirements
15 years: Proven Java development expertise
- 10 years: Extensive SQL database experience
- 8 years: Application development and support in large, team-based settings

5 years: Proficient in Linux environments Preferred Skills
- 8 years: Atlassian tool suite, especially JIRA
- 8 years: Agile methodology
- 2 years: Experience with State of Texas applications or Texas Department of Public Safety
