The Buyer Level 3 role is a mid-level strategic procurement position within a manufacturing-focused purchasing organization. This professional is responsible for end-to-end sourcing, supplier management, and cost optimization in support of production operations, with direct impact on production continuity, cost control, and supplier performance. • SAP proficiency, with the ability to manage purchasing, inventory, and supplier data in SAP (SAP experience is a must)
• Strong experience in procurement of materials and components for production operations.
• Demonstrated expertise in vendor management and supplier performance evaluation, including KPI monitoring and corrective actions.
• Hands-on experience with cost management, including cost reduction initiatives and mitigation of cost increases.
• Solid knowledge of inventory management and supplier management principles in a supply chain context.
• Experience with planning, MRP, purchasing, and ERP systems in a manufacturing or supply chain environment.
• Strong negotiation skills with a track record of securing favorable pricing and commercial terms.
• Ability to perform pricing analysis and variance analysis to support data-driven procurement decisions.
• Capability to assess supply chain and financial risks and propose practical mitigation strategies.
• Comfort working cross-functionally with engineering, quality, and production teams on sourcing and supplier-related issues.
• Ability to interpret technical information and manufacturing requirements to inform sourcing decisions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills applied to cost, inventory, and supplier performance challenges.
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration and influence across multiple functional areas.
