Job description
- Support colleagues with day-to-day IT needs across our offices and project sites
- Build a sound understanding of our IT administration processes, then help automate recurring tasks as your knowledge and technical skills develop
- Get involved in practical IT projects, including setting up connectivity at project sites
- Help improve workflows and explore opportunities to automate recurring tasks
- Produce clear documentation and guidance to help colleagues use our technology effectively
- Keep equipment, software licence and purchasing records accurate and up to date
The role includes occasional travel to project sites, including Glasgow, with very occasional overnight stays.
Requirements
- A keen interest in IT, with examples of technical skills you’ve taught yourself or projects you’ve worked on
- An interest in supporting users, working with business applications and solving practical problems
- Confidence using Excel and working with data and numbers
- Clear communication and the ability to create guidance others can follow
- Strong organisation and attention to detail, with experience in purchasing, supplier liaison or invoice administration
- A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel occasionally to project sites
Experience with scripting, automation, AI tools, Microsoft Intune, Entra ID or administering business applications would be welcome. These skills can also be developed on the job.
