Job description

This is a high-impact interim opportunity for a Senior Data Analytics Manager to lead a large-scale data, analytics, AI and automation function within a highly data-driven organisation. You’ll play a key role in maintaining operational continuity whilst driving improvements across reporting, automation, self-service analytics and AI capabilities. The Company They are a large retail organisation operating complex, enterprise-scale data environments that support critical business operations. With a strong focus on innovation, they continue to invest heavily in data platforms, analytics capabilities, process automation and AI-driven solutions. You will join a business committed to improving decision-making through data, intelligent automation and scalable technology. The Role and Deliverables

  • Lead the Data, Analytics, Reporting and Automation functions, managing both reporting and RPA leadership teams.
  • Own and evolve the Finance Operations data strategy within a Databricks environment.
  • Drive adoption of self-service analytics, semantic models and Power BI best practices across the business.
  • Provide leadership for AI and GenAI initiatives, including intelligent automation and future AI capabilities.
  • Oversee reporting governance, data quality, testing standards, security models and platform optimisation.
  • Lead a large-scale RPA operation, managing outsourced delivery partners and identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiency through automation.

Requirements

  • Strong leadership experience across Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Data Engineering, RPA, Process Automation or related technology functions.
  • Proven expertise working with Databricks in enterprise-scale data environments.
  • Advanced capabilities in Python development and SQL engineering.
  • Strong Power BI expertise, including governance, semantic models, security and self-service reporting frameworks.
  • Experience developing and scaling data platforms that support large volumes of operational and business data.
  • Experience leading RPA and process automation initiatives, including management of third-party delivery partners.
  • Exposure to AI, GenAI, machine learning or intelligent automation initiatives within a business environment.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into business outcomes.
  • Ability to operate strategically whilst remaining technically credible and hands-on when required.
