Java Developer

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, testing, and deployment of Java-based applications
• Write clean, efficient, and scalable code following current best practices
• Collaborate with Product, QA, DevOps, and other engineering teams for integrated delivery
• Develop RESTful APIs and integrate with third-party services and databases
• Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems, especially production issues in AWS and OpenShift
• Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and consistency
• Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and security
• Maintain comprehensive technical documentation
• Support production by identifying and resolving certificate and memory management issues

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field

• 8-10 years of hands-on Java development experience (Java 8+; Java 21 preferred)
• Strong expertise in Spring Boot 3, Spring Framework, and Microservices Architecture
• Experience with REST APIs, MongoDB, and container-based deployments (Kubernetes)
• Proficient with GitLab and version control systems
• Solid understanding of OOP principles and Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Skilled with Cucumber, Karate, or Junit5 for testing
• Familiarity with troubleshooting and resolving production issues in cloud environments (AWS, OpenShift)

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Hibernate/JPA and CI/CD pipelines
• Knowledge of Docker and Apache Kafka or similar messaging systems
• Exposure to MySQL, PostgreSQL, or other NoSQL databases
• Familiarity with AI tools for production support, Java
