Cybersecurity Engineer

We have an outstanding Contract position for a Cybersecurity Engineer to join a leading Company located in theLaurel, MDsurrounding area., If so, we’re looking for someone like you to join our team. We are seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to help integrate cybersecurity into software and systems engineering. Our work includes securing research platforms, prototype systems, cloud environments, and software deployments supporting government missions. We need someone who enjoys identifying risks, designing and implementing secure code, and working closely with engineering teams to build resilient systems., * You will assess designs for best practices and recommend improvements and/or mitigation strategies.

• You will integrate cybersecurity practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
• You will support security assessments, compliance activities, and secure system deployments.
• You will collaborate with engineers to improve the security posture of software and infrastructure.
• You will evaluate other developers’ designs and code for security. Basic Hiring Criteria

Candidate must possess an Active Top Secret Security Clearance., * Possess a Bachelor’s in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Assurance, a related field ,or a combination of equivalent experience, education, and certifications.

• Have 3+ years implementing cybersecurity solutions for enterprise or government environments.
• Have experience with vulnerability assessment, system hardening, and secure software development.
• Are able to obtain a Final Top Secret level security clearance by your start date.

• Have experience developing software in Rust, or significant experience in C++ with a demonstrated interest in developing production software in Rust. Desired Qualifications:

• Possess a Master’s in Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Have 5+ years supporting classified environments.
• Have experience integrating security into CI/CD pipelines and cloud environments.
• Hold certifications such as Security+, CISSP, CySA+, or equivalent. Benefits offered vary by contract.
