Android Developer

• Build and enhance personalized loyalty, rewards, and savings features within the Sam’s Club mobile app
• Integrate GraphQL APIs and collaborate closely with backend teams working in Node.js to deliver seamless app experiences
• Translate business requirements into robust technical solutions in partnership with Product, UX, and business stakeholders
• Optimize app performance, reliability, and responsiveness across diverse Android devices
• Participate in architectural discussions and technical design, contributing to best practices and code reviews
• Troubleshoot, debug, and continuously improve application quality and user experience
• Mentor team members and support engineering excellence

5+ years of professional Android development experience

• Advanced proficiency in Kotlin, Android SDK, and Jetpack libraries
• Proven track record building and maintaining large-scale mobile applications
• Strong experience integrating GraphQL APIs and Node.js backend services
• Expertise in Android Studio, mobile architecture patterns, RESTful services, and asynchronous programming
• Competency with CI/CD, version control, automated testing, and performance optimization
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills

Preferred Skills

• Experience with high-traffic retail, eCommerce, loyalty, or membership platforms
• Prior work at Walmart, Sam’s Club, large retail, or major software product companies
• Familiarity with MVVM, MVI, or Clean Architecture patterns
• Agile/Scrum team experience and exposure to cloud-native, microservices environments
• Knowledge of analytics, personalization, or recommendation features
