Senior Data AnalystWe are seeking a Senior Data Analyst with strong SAS programming and SQL skills to transform complex data into actionable insights that drive business decisions. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise with business acumen to deliver meaningful analysis and recommendations. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, self-motivated, and passionate about using data to solve complex business problems. Must be comfortable working both independently and as part of a cross-functional team.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain SAS programs for automated reporting and advanced statistical analysisCreate and optimize SAS stored procedures and views for improved data accessibilityMaintain and develop data interfacesTroubleshoot system and batch processingDesign and execute complex SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze large datasets from multiple sourcesCollaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into analytical solutionsBuild and maintain dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators and share business insightsIdentify trends and patterns in data to support strategic decision-makingDocument technical processes and maintain data dictionariesValidate data quality and implement data cleaning proceduresMentor junior analysts in SQL and SAS best practicesRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field5+ years of experience in SAS programming to mine, alter, manage, retrieve, and combine data from a variety of sources and perform statistical analysisProficient in SAS programming, including macro development and PROC SQLProficient with SAS data integration and query tools5+ years of advanced SQL skills including complex joins, window functions, and query optimization3+ years of experience in data visualization and toolsStrong problem-solving and analytical thinking skillsExcellent communication skills with ability to present technical concepts to non-technical audiencesPreferred QualificationsMaster’s degree in related fieldKnowledge of statistical modeling and machine learning conceptsHealthcare or financial services industry experienceCertifications in SAS or SQLFamiliar with SAS Procurement Integrity solutionTechnical SkillsSAS: Base SAS, SAS/STAT, SAS Macro language, PROC SQLSQL: Complex querying, stored procedures, performance tuningLinux: shell scripting, process scheduling, application scheduling, basic peripheral devices, and file systemsDatabase platforms: SQL Server, Oracle, or similarAPI developmentData visualization: Power BI, Tableau, or similarMicrosoft Office Suite, especially Excel for data analysisWhat We OfferRemote work flexibilityProfessional development opportunitiesCollaborative team environmentOpportunity to work on impactful projectsOpportunity to convert to a permanent position
