Housing Application Coordinator

• You’ll play a vital role in helping people access housing by supporting the delivery of our choice-based lettings service and ensuring applications are assessed fairly, accurately and efficiently.

• Working with customers, local authority partners and internal teams, you’ll manage housing applications, verify information, assess housing needs and provide advice and support throughout the application process.

• You’ll be the organisational lead for choice-based lettings operations, helping to ensure our service remains accessible, responsive and customer-focused while supporting service improvements and best practice.

• You’ll support reviews, appeals and mutual exchange activity, helping customers explore their housing options while maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with our Allocations Policy.

• This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys combining customer service, administration and problem-solving skills in a role that has a direct impact on people’s housing journeys and future opportunities.

• Experience working in a customer-focused administrative environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional approach.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities.
• Ability to use IT systems, including Microsoft Office, to maintain accurate records and support service delivery.

Desirable

• Chartered Institute of Housing qualification or willingness to work towards one.
• Knowledge of housing or homelessness legislation and good practice.
• Experience working within the social housing sector.
• Experience contributing to projects and service improvement activities.
