Job description
Spear & Jackson UK are looking for an eCommerce Coordinator to join our UK Marketing team. Reporting to the S&J Tools Group Marketing Manager, you’ll help develop our online presence, improve the customer experience and drive online sales.
You’ll manage and update our online product catalogue, ensuring descriptions, specifications and images are accurate, engaging and optimised for search engines. You’ll also play a hands-on role in setting up a new eCommerce website, helping customers find the products they need and making their online experience as straightforward as possible.
Working closely with colleagues across Marketing, Sales, Product Management, Operations and Customer Services, you’ll coordinate online promotional campaigns, create and edit product photography, and provide retail partners with engaging product content. You’ll also help ensure smooth order fulfilment, resolve issues affecting the online shopping experience and liaise with external IT specialists to keep the website running smoothly.
You’ll monitor website traffic and user engagement, using data to identify trends and opportunities to improve performance. You’ll also keep an eye on competitor activity and wider eCommerce developments to spot opportunities to grow online sales.
Requirements
We’re looking for someone with experience in eCommerce or digital marketing, a good understanding of website content management systems, SEO and online promotional campaigns, including email and social media. Familiarity with platforms such as Shopify, Google Analytics, CRM systems and marketing tools would be beneficial. An ability to understand technical product information and turn it into accurate, engaging content is important, while photography, image editing or graphic design skills would be an advantage.
What about you? You’ll be organised, proactive and detail-oriented, with strong written communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities. You’ll enjoy working with different teams, spotting opportunities for improvement and turning ideas into practical actions.
This is an office-based role at our Atlas site in Sheffield. If you enjoy combining creativity, digital marketing and commercial thinking, you’ll have the opportunity to help shape how our products are presented and sold online.
