2nd Line Infrastructure Support

Our client is looking for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join their growing IT team. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong infrastructure professional who enjoys a mix of support, administration and project work within a modern Microsoft cloud environment. You’ll play a key role in maintaining and improving the organisation’s infrastructure while supporting users across multiple sites., * Provide 2nd line infrastructure support and resolve escalated issues.

• Support and administer Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 environments.
• Maintain Azure Virtual Desktop and remote working solutions.
• Troubleshoot network, firewall, VPN and connectivity issues.
• Contribute to infrastructure projects and system improvements.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation.
• Support security, patching and infrastructure resilience.
• Provide technical guidance to 1st line support teams.

• Previous experience in a 2nd Line Infrastructure Engineer or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure, Entra ID, Intune and Azure Virtual Desktop.
• Experience administering Microsoft 365 including Exchange Online, Teams and SharePoint.
• Good networking knowledge including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, firewalls and VPNs.
• Experience supporting Windows Server environments.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to support non-technical users.

Desirable Skills

• Microsoft Azure certifications (AZ-104 or similar).
• Experience with enterprise firewall and VPN technologies.
• Exposure to Intune, SCCM or endpoint management tools.
• PowerShell scripting and automation experience.
• Experience within multi-site environments.
